What I Bring

Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology
Registered Clinical Counsellor #13557

British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors

My goal is to provide a comfortable, caring and non-judgmental space that allows exploration of what may be preventing you from feeling healthy, hopeful and whole. With gentle curiosity and guidance, I will provide a therapeutic environment where you can explore, grow and heal safely.

I have worked with a wide range of issues, including trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, grief, addiction, and relationship & attachment issues. I have worked with adults and at-risk youth, Indigenous peoples, individuals impacted by Alzheimer's and dementia, and people who have been incarcerated.

I primarily use emotion-focused therapies, including Accelerated-Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), as well as evidenced-based treatments such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I take a holistic approach to understanding each individual, recognizing the role of our thoughts, feelings, and the information that comes from our bodies and nervous systems. I also offer dreamwork.

I believe we all have the capacity to heal our past wounds with the right kind of support.

About Me

Throughout the past 6 years I have worked with several non-profit organizations alongside my private practice, including Pacifica Treatment Centre, Turning Point Recovery House, and the BC Borstal Association - Trauma Care program. I have offered group and individual counselling, as well as psycho-educational workshops for agencies such as the Aboriginal Friendship Centre, Correctional Service Canada, and the Salvation Army.

I grew up in Canada and England, and have called Vancouver home for the past 10 years. I live, work and play on the unceded Coast Salish territory of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) and səl̓ílwətaʔɬ /Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, with my spouse and our two young boys.
